Canadian Police and Peace Officers’ 46th annual memorial service filled the lawn of Parliament Hill with officers from all over Canada paying respects to the fallen officers. Eleven officers were honoured during the ceremony Sunday, September 24, 2023.It’s hard to imagine how a sombre journey to honour 11 fallen police officers could become even more melancholy.
