Utah Gov. Spencer Cox is hosting a virtual town hall meeting on Tuesday at 7 p.m. and has invited members of the public to submit their questions. “Have a question? Now’s your chance to ask!” the governor said on social media.

Gov. Spencer Cox is joined by other leaders and advocates of Utah’s Clean Slate Law as they gather in the old Supreme Court Room at the Utah Capitol on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022, to announce that the law is finally going into effect.

Almost three years after legislators unanimously passed the law that automates the criminal record expungement process for old and minor offenses, so long as an individual has remained crime free for a set period of time, makes Utah the second state in the nation to implement a clean slate law.Utah Gov.
