More Texas Walmart stores have been updated ahead of the holiday shopping season.
Supercenters have two new areas in the front, one for snacks and drinks and another for seasonal $1 items.
Walmart has spent $9 billion this year and last year to upgrade 1,400 stores. The retailer said it plans to modernize more of its 4,616 U.S. stores in 2024.Walmart has completed a final batch of 16 stores, including six in Dallas-Fort Worth. Grand openings are planned for Friday, Nov. 3 at 117 stores nationwide.Changes include improved layouts and bigger aisle signs for navigation using the Walmart app, more shopping carts and “grab & go” sections in the front with snacks and drinks.
