A 2022 indie drama starring a cast member from the hit AMC show The Walking Dead only made $400,000 in theaters, but is now charting on Netflix.

The 2022 movie stars Major Dodson, who played the ill-fated youngster Sam Anderson on 10 episodes of AMC's The Walking Dead between 2015 and 2016.
Netflix has now announced their Top 10 English-language movies for the week of October 9 through October 15. Tyson's Run has landed at the No. 8 spot on the chart thanks to 3.1 million viewers watching a total of 5.4 million hours. The movie has landed on the chart above much higher-performing titles such as The Lost City, which grossed $192.9 million worldwide, and Get Out, which earned $255.7 million.
Tyson’s Run Has a Surprisingly Stacked Cast Tyson's Run wasn't exactly a huge hit, even on the scale of its relatively limited release in just over 400 theaters. However, one reason that the movie may be doing well on Netflix is the fact that it is full of interesting stars. In addition to the Walking Dead alum at its center, the movie boasts an ensemble full of interesting names.
One of the most prominent is Barkhad Abdi as Aklilu, the champion runner Tyson befriends. Abdi is best known for his star-making turn opposite Tom Hanks in Captain Phillips, which earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor in 2014. Also on hand playing the coach is Rory Cochrane, whose career includes roles in Richard Linklater's Dazed and Confused, Argo, 24, Antlers, and A Scanner Darkly.
The Tyson's Run cast is also filled out by Amy Smart as Eloise and Reno Wilson as the mayor. Wilson is a veteran actor in both film and television, though after kicking off his career on The Cosby Show in the late 1980s, his most prominent roles have been on the TV comedies Mike & Molly and Good Girls. Smart has also had a wide-ranging career, starring in movies such as Starship Troopers and Just Friends as well as TV shows including Felicity, Shameless, and DC's Stargirl.
