The CW has canceled the Jared Padaleki-led crime drama Walker after only four seasons. Padaleki shared the news with fans online.

Padaleki, who has played Cordell Walker since Season 1, shared the disappointing news on his Instagram account.suggested that the series may be nearing cancellation, following the lack of Season 5 renewal updates. It wasn’t until Tuesday that Padalecki confirmed the news himself, saying that Walker will “not be airing on for a fifth season.”
“It’s a tough piece of news to be sure, but we are SO thankful for the #WalkerFamily that has been built, both on set and off. After four seasons together, we have felt the love and support from the entire #WalkerFamily, and we will be forever grateful,” the actor wrote. He added, “It has been a unique honor to be a part of the cast and crew that helped #Walker tell the stories that we told. I will forever smile on the years I got to spend with the cast and crew and studio and network and fandom that made this all possible. Til we ride again.”, Walker follows Cordell, who returns to his home in Austin after spending his time being undercover. However, he will soon find out that plenty of things have changed following his two-year absence.
