A new and very short (.4 miles to be exact) hike and bike trail along Buffalo Bayou in downtown Houston opened to the public this week after more than a decade of planning.

Houston Parks Board and Buffalo Bayou Partnership, in cooperation with the Downtown Redevelopment Authority and the City of Houston Parks and Recreation Department opened the trail to the public, Monday.
