Nature research paper: VLDLR and ApoER2 are receptors for multiple alphaviruses

Please note there may be errors present which affect the content, and all legal disclaimers apply.Alphaviruses, like many other arthropod-borne viruses, infect vertebrate species and insect vectors separated by hundreds of millions of years of evolutionary history.
We show that the E2/E1 glycoproteins of SFV, eastern equine encephalitis , and Sindbis viruses interact with the ligand binding domains of VLDLR and apolipoprotein E receptor 2 , a closely related receptor.
