Ramaswamy gave his campaign a $5 million loan, his second of his nascent campaign, and also made an additional $400,000 in in-kind contributions, data provided to the Post by the campaign shows. Just $2.3 million, or about 30% of the total, came from individual donors. His average donation size was around $30.

To participate, candidates must have received campaign contributions from 40,000 unique donors and receive at least 1% support in three national polls or 1% in two national polls and 1% in early state polls from two separate states.
