FREDERICTON, N.B. — Four Horizon Health Hospitals in New Brunswick have launched new virtual reality technology to help train and assess operating room nurses.
Nurses can practice instrument recognition, procedure steps, anticipation and passing techniques through the simulated surgeries. The hospitals that have started using the virtual reality technology include Moncton Hospital, Saint John Regional Hospital, Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton and Miramichi Regional Hospital.
