Hometown hockey hero Michael Amadio — who is bringing the Stanley Cup to Sault Ste. Marie this afternoon — was a recent guest on our 'Inside the Village' podcast
Local hockey star Michael Amadio, a member of the NHL champion Las Vegas Golden Knights, gets the Cup all to himself today — and he's bringing it home to share with the city.
First announced last week, Amadio will be at GFL Memorial Gardens this afternoon signing autographs and posing for photos between 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Admission is free, but fans are encouraged to get there early.Amadio, 27, was a recent guest on Village Media’s Inside the Village podcast, where he reminisced about hoisting the Cup for the first time, a very special phone call he made from the ice — and what it was like to be a young hockey player growing up in the Sault.
