Uber Eats says capital city orders cannabis more than any other B.C. city
Just days before the cannabis crowd in B.C.’s capital welcomes the unofficial holiday of 4/20, Victoria has earned itself a new marijuana moniker.
Cannabis deliveries via Uber Eats began in the province in April 2023 and the app now hosts more than 80 licensed retailers across B.C. and Ontario. Uber Eats said in a news release that retailers value the option to grow their businesses using the platform’s services. It added that cannabis delivery can help combat the underground market, which in Ontario still accounts to more than 40 per cent of non-medical weed sales.April 20 will be marked in Greater Victoria with several events to celebrate cannabis.
