Witnesses sought after vehicles, property graffitied with 'disturbing messages': Saanich Police
Posted: Mar. 8, 2023 6:30PMMultiple vehicles and properties sustained thousands of dollars in damage after they were graffitied with “disturbing messages and images,” according to Saanich Police.
On Tuesday, police were called to the 4500-block of Chatterton Way and the 800-block of Royal Oak Avenue after seven vehicles were vandalized with spray paint. The graffiti was also found on a nearby building, an electrical box, and the inside of a tunnel. Police believe the incidents happened sometime between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m. and say the damage to the vehicles and property combined is estimated at more than $30,000.Const. Markus Anastasiades, media relations officer with Saanich Police, says officers are hopeful that someone with information will come forward and help to identify the person, or people, responsible for the vandalism.
