He expressed particular dismay that the federal government chose not to proceed with bail reform despite “broad agreements among the parties that it is important, that they support it, that they want this reform to take place.The Eby government faltered in its own attempt to toughen bail provisions. The B.C. premier said Thursday he has been given no explanation for why C-48 wasn’t called for debate following its introduction five weeks ago.
