JUST IN: Three people, including a pregnant woman and child, were injured today when a van jumped a curb and drove onto a busy sidewalk in Yonkers.
Three people, including a pregnant woman and child, were injured today when a van jumped a curb and drove onto a busy sidewalk in Yonkers.
Police say the crash happened in the area of 127 New Main St. around 10:30 a.m. near the Williams Food market. They say one victim is a 51-year-old female with a fractured leg. The second is a 40-year-old pregnant female with ankle injuries. A 6-year-old child suffered abrasions.A building was also struck and is being assessed by fire department and building department inspectors.
As of now, the cause of the accident has not been disclosed by the authorities. However, they say the crash appears to be an accident and is not being criminally investigated.
