UTSA defense bracing for Bijan Robinson, powerful Texas rushing attack
Texas running back Bijan Robinson poses a threat out of the backfield like the Roadrunners have never seen.If any of the “old heads” in coaching were faced with a challenge like what UTSA will encounter Saturday, Jeff Traylor has an idea how they would respond.
“If you tried to tackle somebody like him every day, you wouldn’t have anybody on your defense left to play Saturday,” Traylor said. “I’m not trying to embellish this, but Bijan is as good of a back as there is in college football.” The Roadrunners also are bracing for Longhorns No. 2 back Roschon Johnson, described by Traylor as another “stocky, strong, physical” threat at 6-foot-2 and 222 pounds.
Cornerback Nicktroy Fortune said the Roadrunners’ view of the Longhorns’ offense is “whatever happens, happens.”
