A Salt Lake County man is dead after officers shot him late Wednesday while responding to a reported domestic disturbance.

Melody Cutler with the Unified Police Department said.
Officers at the time determined that no crime had been committed and left without making any arrests, police said in a news release Thursday afternoon. Outside the home, Zimmerman “pulled a gun and our officers shot him,” Cutler said, adding that three officers were involved in the shooting, none of whom she identified.
Cutler initially said the shooting was in Kearns, but a police news release later clarified that it unfolded in Salt Lake County.
