He will play in just his fourth tournament of the year as he manages his surgically repaired leg and back. In February, Woods withdrew from his own event, the Genesis Invitational. At the Masters, Woods finished in 60th place – his only made cut of the year. And last month at the PGA Championship, Woods failed to make the weekend, finishing well above the cut line. I would rather play in hot, humid conditions any day than anything cold. I think pretty much anyone my age will definitely like it a little hotter.”Woods has twice played a U.S. Open at Pinehurst, finishing as the runner-up in 2005 and tied for third in 1999.
