Remembering Harley: Graveside memorial service honours homeless Hantsport man’s life | SaltWireWASHINGTON - U.S. intelligence officials have"high confidence" that an explosion at a Gaza hospital last week was caused by a Palestinian rocket that broke up mid-flight, and not by Israel, a U.S. official said on Tuesday.
Israel said the blast was caused by a failed rocket launch by the Palestinian militant Islamic Jihad group, which has denied responsibility. The New York Times, NBC News and other U.S. media reported the U.S. intelligence assessment earlier on Tuesday, citing a briefing with reporters. The U.S. official declined to be named as the information remained confidential.
