Not the missed connection/giant rat hybrid mashup I was expecting but here we are:
On my walk home yesterday night while on New Hampshire Ave. near the intersection with Georgia Ave., I spotted the monstrosity. My first inclination was that it was some sort of marmot or beaver that wandered far from home, but upon closer inspection I concluded it might, in fact, be a humongous rat, or some sort of blasphemous rat hybrid.
If it is a rat, it is certainly the king of rats, born in the sewers of DC and grown fat on chicken wings and Icehouse beers. Perhaps we should worship it.to the lady who briefly followed the creature with me, you seem cool. We should get a drink sometime or maybe form a rat cultwith OP. PoPville is not affiliated with either party, please proceed with any potential connection at your own risk using caution as you would any online encounter.
? Zero, Once, Twice, More than 3 times….. ? ) . For me it’s more than 3. 5 mice in one home. 1 rat in another. UGH.”

Dear Annie: Feelings firstDEAR ANNIE: Some years ago, I went to a nearby office supply shop, where I saw a local couple looking around. The woman, a local musician, had Alzheimer’s, but she seemed to recognize me, so we began a conversation. I don’t recall what it was about, but it was the silliest, most illogical and the most fun conversation I’ve ever had with anyone. I just went along with whatever she said, never trying to force reality onto her and augmenting whatever her ideas were when I could. Meanwhile, her husband seemed to be mortified beyond embarrassment. ... I think it is better to greet them “where they are” and find a way to spread some cheer in that.
