In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the University of Houston-Clear Lake at...
, the University of Houston-Clear Lake at Pearland will host an Oct. 13 performance of Mexican ballet folklórico by the Houston nonprofit group Multicultural Education and Counseling through the Arts ."We just wanted to have something that would celebrate Hispanic heritage, knowing that we have that designation," UH-CL at Pearland program coordinator Corina Morales said.
Open to all UH-CL students, staff members, faculty and the Pearland community, the free event will be in the Health Science Classroom Building Lobby at the campus, 1200 Pearland Parkway. The performance will begin at 7 p.m. Hispanic treats such as agua fresca and pan dulce will be provided as light refreshments at 6 p.m. before the performance while supplies last.
