Unions threaten to take legal action to block new anti-strike laws
“The UK already has some of the most restrictive laws when it comes to workers taking industrial action.
Kevin Courtney, general secretary of the National Education Union , promised to “resist these measures with all the resources at our disposal”. “The Government’s intention is to remove the right to strike in all but name – and simultaneously to reduce rights at work.” She said: “The Government curtails their right to be heard because it knows it is failing them. Silencing health workers silences the patient voice too.
