Mr Zelenskyy added that regardless of changes in the US Congress, he is confident Ukraine will continue to enjoy bipartisan support. Joe Biden begins the joint news conference saying it is"particularly meaningful" to see his Ukrainian counterpart in person.The US President then praised Ukraine for its successes.
Leigh Turner told Sky News:"At the beginning, everybody was supporting Ukraine, every Western government and the people of Britain and the US were strongly supporting Ukraine from providing arms and taking in refugees into their homes. The package includes $1 billion in weapons and equipment from Pentagon stocks, including the Patriot battery for the first time.Joe Biden has tweeted a picture of him and the Ukrainian President captioned"America welcomes you, Mr President".
