LAS VEGAS – Johnny Juzang scored 11 points, including a 3-pointer just before the halftime buzzer, to give No. 2 seed UCLA a 40-35 lead over top-seeded Arizona in the Pac-12 Tournament championship game Saturday at T-Mobile Arena.

Arizona started out on a 10-2 run, breaking away for driving layups from Mathurin and Kier early, while Christian Koloko scored twice inside. UA coach Tommy Lloyd began playing Bal in the first half last Saturday against Cal, and while he said that wasn’t necessarily an indication Bal would join the rotation, he played Bal two minutes against Stanford on Thursday and a minute on Friday against Colorado.
