Beginning Wednesday, you can expect to pay an extra 45 or 55 cents per ride, depending on where you live, and an extra 35 or 45 cents for Uber Eats deliveries.
Seuell is on board with Uber’s move.The company claims that 100% of the surcharge will go to its workers. “I do think it’s great because it helps them out in the long run. They have to pay for their own gas, and they’re not making a lot of money,” Seuell said.
