Smithson Michael posted a teary video online, asking how he is 'supposed to survive'
An Uber Eats driver broke down in tears after receiving an 84p tip from a customer. The delivery driver questioned how he is "supposed to survive" as he called upon others to tip more generously, reports the Mirror.
Posting on TikTok, under the account @deliveryguy100, Smithson wept whilst opening up about his experiences of working for food delivery companies in the US. He said: "I wish people knew what it was like to deliver Uber Eats, Postmates, DoorDash, all these companies. "That's not even enough to cover gas. How am I supposed to live like that? Homeless? I'm there. This and I'm sitting here and it's gone, four months behind. There's no way I could pay for that.
The clip of the delivery driver went viral racking up 1.5million views and nearly 280k likes. The video also recieved 16.4k comments, with people keen to share their thoughts on the situation. Many people sympathised with Smithson's plight.
