Burberry Group PLC BRBY, -4.51%, a clothing company, and tobacco firm British American Tobacco PLC BATS, -3.25% rounded out the top five largest decreases as their stocks declined 4.51% and 3.25%, respectively. Shares of biotechnology firm AstraZeneca PLC AZN, +1.34% and wholesalers company Ferguson PLC FERG, +1.27% rallied 1.34% and 1.27%, respectively.
The pound was down 0.21% against dollar GBPUSD, -0.20% at $1.2215 and was up 0.31% against the euro GBPEUR, +0.30% at €1.1533.
