UPDATE: Interstate 70 has reopened in two places after three closures were reported due to crashes.
The eastbound lanes closed near Floyd Hill between U.S. 6 and exit 247 due to a crash about 1:45 p.m. and one lane reopened about 2:35 p.m. The other lane is still closed.Both sides of the interstate closed further west of the crash at the Central City Parkway exit at 1:50 p.m. due to “safety concerns,” with CDOT citing the crash. Those closures were fully reopened at the same time as the first one about 2:35 p.m.
A third crash was reported just after 2 p.m. that closed the westbound lanes of the interstate west of the Post Boulevard exit near Avon. Delays are expected in the area, and officials have not given an estimated reopening time for the Avon closure.
