San Leandro police have identified two men fatally shot 10 days apart last month and said there is reason to believe the killings may be connected.

San Leandro police have released the names of two men fatally shot 10 days apart last month and said the killings may be connected. SAN LEANDRO — The names of two men found fatally shot 10 days apart in the same fitness center parking lot were released Tuesday by police who said they believe the killings may be connected.

Both men were found fatally shot inside vehicles, one on Sept. 14 and the other Sept. 24 in the parking lot of the 24-Hour Fitness at Bayfair Center, a large shopping complex on East 14th Street. The man found about 10:40 a.m. Sept. 24 inside a gray Toyota Prius was identified as Emre Bozkurt, 21.
