Israeli police described the incident as a car-ramming attack and said the driver had been shot at the scene.

The car was driven into a crowd at a bus stop in Ramot, a Jewish settlement, in east Jerusalem. A volunteer medic with United Hatzalah ambulance service, who gave his name as Ariel Ben-David, told Army Radio:"Everyone was lying out, thrown about, in very bad condition. To our regret, one child did not survive." Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the incident in Ramot, a Jewish settlement in east Jerusalem, as a terrorist attack and ordered security forces to be reinforced.Read more:
