Several people have reportedly died after a Tennessee National Guard helicopter crashed near Huntsville, Alabama, Wednesday just after 3 p.m. There were two people found dead in the aircraft’s wreckage, Don Webster, a spokesman for Huntsville Emergency Medical Services, Inc.,.
He said in an earlier statement that there were “no survivors.” Alabama authorities also confirmed that the helicopter was a UH-60, otherwise known as a Black Hawk. Footage of the wreckage shot by drivers showed a black plume of smoke rising just off what appeared to be a major roadway. Authorities have told residents of the area to brace for extended traffic delays in the area.
