The Serenade of the Seas, owned by the Royal Caribbean Group, was making its way to Sydney when the initial call for help went out.Squadron Greenwood was tasked to airlift a passenger off a cruise ship 100 miles southwest of Halifax. Once airborne another passenger required a medevac.
The CH-149 Cormorant airlifted both passengers to an ambulance in Halifax.As the SAR Squadron Greenwood was departing the vessel with one medically evacuated passenger, the ship called the CH-149 Cormorant back to pick up another.The cruise ship is currently docked in Bar Harbour, Massachusetts and will hit Portland, Maine before returning to port in Boston ahead of another seven-day sailing.
