Jrmar and Lamar Jefferson, both 42, are seeking a Dallas County judge's help to order the city to put their names on the election ballot.

Lamar Jefferson isn’t listed as a valid voter in Dallas County online records as of Wednesday. Jrmar Jefferson, however, is listed as a registered voter in the county as of Dec. 18, 2022. “Plaintiff has already lost valuable campaigning time due to the city of Dallas’ actions and plaintiff may be unable to recover if a new election is not called,” Lamar Jefferson’s lawsuit said.
