Tucson-area education news briefs, including TUSD to hire new finance director; students win Odyssey championships; Marana Unified brings back winds concert.
Norma Gonzalez, Catalina High SchoolBrian Huss, Borman K-8 SchoolAndrea Steele, Miles Early Learning Center K-8 SchoolShawn S. Blair Lohn, Robison Elementary SchoolAlso, Scott Eisenberg and Meg Tully will serve as interim assistant principals for the remainder of the current school year at Palo Verde High Magnet School and Pueblo High School, respectively.
After applicants are screened, those meeting all requirements will advance to interviews with district leaders. Superintendent Gabriel Trujillo will then recommend a candidate to the governing board. OM, a problem-solving program, teaches students how to develop and use their creativity to come up with solutions.
The Ventana Vista Elementary School team won first place in its division. The members included Zeke Bialis, Beau DuPont, Isabel Perez, Isabella Rowe and Ishani Timbadia.
