The U.S. has given official notice of its withdrawal from the WHO. Global health experts, doctors and lawmakers lambasted the move: one said it was 'a political gift to China,' another said it may jeopardize U.S. access to lifesaving COVID-19 vaccines.
Trump has repeatedly criticized WHO for being slow to respond to the pandemic and for being too"China-centric."
