Former National Security Adviser Susan Rice, who served under the Obama administration, on Wednesday condemned President Donald Trump for alleging that his predecessor provided Iran with funding that was utilized to launch missiles at U.S. targets situated in the Middle East.
"Iran's hostilities substantially increased after the foolish Iran nuclear deal was signed in 2013," the president said. The Iran nuclear deal, negotiated by Obama's administration, France, Russia, Germany, China and the U.K., was actually signed in 2015. "The missiles fired last night at us and our allies were paid for with the funds made available by the last administration," he said."The fact that three years after taking office he remains obsessed with President Obama just shows President Trump's extreme weakness and insecurity," she said during an appearance on MSNBC, before disputing Trump's allegations against his predecessor's actions in relation to the Iran nuclear deal.
