Justin Trudeau, the eldest son of the late Pierre Trudeau, is marrying Sophie Gregoire, the only child of a wealthy Montreal stockbroker, in a match that has Quebec gossip magazines buzzing. “The Story of a Great Love,” reads the headline on the cover of yesterday’s edition of the glossy weekly La Semaine, superimposed on a recent photo of the pair, both clad in white and striking a lovestruck pose.

Mr. Trudeau allowed that both he and his fiancee are “control freaks” and that she is looking after the fashion and music side of the celebrations while he has handled the logistics.
In what their agent, Michael Levine, said was a way of guarding their privacy, the Trudeau-Gregoire couple struck an exclusive deal to provide inside photos of their wedding and interviews to two publications: Maclean’s magazine and 7 Jours. Mr. Levine said the couple are not profiting from the arrangement. The photos will be taken by Montreal photographer Heidi Hollinger, who made her name working in Russia.
