Nixle Alert System ends Thursday, June 30, 2022
FAIRBANKS, Alaska - One of our law enforcement agencies is changing how it communicates with the public via the smartphone.
The existing Nixle based alert system used by AST will end Thursday, June 30, 2022 and no long be available. According to the Alaska Department of Public Safety Public Information Office, the new system will provide alerts related to significant law enforcement activity in an area, evacuation information, missing persons bulletins, suspect information, and other timely alerts.
