The department said the crash, which occurred around 5:14 p.m., happened near the State Route 10 interchange in North Ridgeville.
NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio - An Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper suffered minor injuries in a crash Tuesday, according to a release from OSHP.
Preliminary investigations showed a marked Dodge Charger patrol car, occupied by Trooper Alfonso Sierra, was stopped on the shoulder of the road with it’s lights activated when a westbound Honda HR-V drove off the right side of the road and hit the patrol car. OSHP said the driver of the Honda, a 65-year-old North Olmsted man, was believed to be suffering from a medical episode when the crash occurred.
