Hundreds of trick-or-treaters descended upon storefronts in downtown Aurora during the event offered by the Aurora Downtown group.
Natalie Lantz, 8, of Aurora looks forward to Halloween every year, including dressing up for the holiday and of course the candy. “There is this movie called ‘Monster High’ and I decided to be her because it’s half wolf-half human and my favorite animal is a wolf,” Natalie said Saturday afternoon while taking part in the annual Trick-or-Treat Downtown event in Aurora. “I’m looking forward to seeing my friends when I go to my trick-or-treat thing on Halloween.
“Ever since I was a kid Aurora has always taken Halloween pretty seriously. City Hall does trick-or-treating too, and we enjoy our events. It’s fun to see the community dress up and get festive and with the change of seasons it’s a nice reason to get out in the community and be part of the activities.” Natalie Lantz’s brother Nicolas, 3, was dressed as a dinosaur at the event on Saturday.
