'Colin was a larger than life character who always met you with a disarming smile and a look of mischief and fun in his eyes.'
Tributes have been paid to a dad-of-two from Co Down who died following a serious assault in South Belfast in January.
Police have now launched a murder enquiry following Mr Prime's death and detectives will consider the findings of a post mortem. Three men who were arrested in connection with the incident remain on police bail. Detective Inspector Michelle Griffin is appealing for witnesses to come forward: "We know that this area would have been relatively busy with vehicles at the time, particularly taxi drivers, and would appeal to anyone who may have been in the vicinity to check their dashcam for relevant footage.
"An incident like this will cause great concern for people living nearby, as this is an area heavily populated with students and long-term residents, and would be very busy at weekends. Many tributes have been paid to Mr Prime on social media, who had been involved in equestrian sports and previously represented Northern Ireland in mounted games.
