Trent University's Board of Governors has appointed a new board chair and vice-chairs. The top position will be held by Trent alumnus Doug Kirk, class of 197
The top position will be held by Trent alumnus Doug Kirk, class of 1970.Kirk first joined the board on July 1, 2020 and is currently the vice-chair of the board and the chair of the executive committee. He has played a key role in guiding the board’s Finance and Property Committee.
“The outlook for Trent’s campuses in Oshawa and Peterborough is encouragingly positive,” said Kirk. “Building on its decade plus top ranking for undergraduate universities in Ontario, Trent is producing innovative programs for the times. This along with sound financial management sets the stage for continued growth of Trent’s Peterborough and GTA campuses.”
Vice-chair Kristi Honey, the Chief administrative officer for the Township of Uxbridge, joined the Board in 2022. In addition to serving as current vice-chair of the Board, she also played key roles on the Finance & Property and Executive Committees, as well as the Audit and Investment Committee, Trent Durham Task Force, and Presidential Review and Search Committees.
Trent alumnus Krista Scaldwell, class of 1986, joined the Board in 2020, and is currently the chair of the Nominating & Governance Committee and a member of the Executive Committee.She was named among the Top 100 Women of Influence in Business by the Women’s Executive Network in 2020.If you have found a spelling error, please, notify us by selecting that text and pressing
