Smithson Valley's Alyssa Jones won four regional gold medals and Taft's Malik White broke meet records on consecutive days.
The junior set meet records on consecutive days in the 110-meter hurdles at the Region IV-6A championships. On Saturday, he clocked 13.62 seconds to break the meet record he set the day before in preliminaries.The sophomore won four gold medals at the Region IV-5A championships. Jones won the 200 dash and long jump .
Jones also ran legs in two record-setting relays. Jones was the lead leg in the 1,600 relay as the Rangers set a meet record . Jones anchored the Rangers to victory in the 800 relay with Uduji, Mia Ramos and Jazmyn Singh . In Friday’s preliminaries, they set a meet record .
