Republican Tom Jones won the open seat on Tuesday.
Three candidates were vying for a state house seat on Tuesday that represents Lancaster and Lebanon counties.
Republican Tom Jones, an East Donegal Township supervisor who operates a landscaping business, has won the three-way race for that seat that has been represented by retiring Rep. Dave Hickernell for the past 20 years. Jones defeated Democrat Mark Temons, a tradesman and small business owner, and Libertarian Josh Gerber, both of Lancaster County in the 98th District house race, which includes parts of Lancaster and Lebanon counties. He had 14,474 votes. Temons had 7,219 votes and Gerber had 702 votes.The Lancaster County part of this district includes Conoy, East Donegal, Mount Joy and West Donegal townships and Elizabethtown, Marietta and Mount Joy boroughs.
