Toronto's Moss Park neighbourhood is set to receive a new community centre and a renovated park. The City of Toronto has submitted an application for a 7,544.3-sq.-m community centre to replace the existing John Innes Community Centre. The adjacent park will also be transformed. The project began in 2015 as a partnership between the City of Toronto, The 519, and a philanthropic partner. After community consultation, an updated plan was developed to improve the recreation centre, remodel the arena façade, and enhance the park.
