HAMILTON — Brandon Slade didn’t quite have the Gordie Howe hat trick, but he did have a night to remember on Saturday.
In its own zone, several key saves by Nick Rose and a huge defensive play by Brad Kri to break up a scoring opportunity kept Slade’s goal as the winning marker.
“It’s obviously something I don’t do often,” he added about his battle with Rochester’s Ethan Schott. “But when you get challenged, you want to answer the bell.”
