USD coach Dale Lindsey says after 26-23 loss in Pioneer League action that Toreros didn't play well the whole game and the Bulldogs did

He had missed short from 45 yards earlier in the game.Zurak stepped toward the ball, planted his left leg, swung hard with the right and the ball sailed through the uprights, handing USD a numbing 26-23 loss at Torero Stadium. Butler’s players stormed to the end zone in celebration.
“I turned around and it looked like it was on line and I felt a dread,” said Carney. “I didn’t know if it had the distance. Obviously it was super far. It’s super disappointing.” Asked what most frustrated him, Lindsey said, “It shouldn’t have happened. It wasn’t like we were playing Ohio State. I don’t think Butler’s that much better than us. We didn’t play well the whole game and they did.”
But the offense contributed to the loss with the Toreros’ final seven drives ending, punt, kneel down at the half, punt, field goal, punt, punt, punt. The last three drives were all three-and-out.
