Spider-Man actor Tom Holland gives a Spider-Man 4 update on the status of the MCU Spider-Man movie amid the writer's strike.
at the New York City premiere of his new Apple TV+ series The Crowded Room on Thursday, June 1, Holland said that he was not allowed to share much about the status of Spider-Man 4. He had meetings about where to take Peter Parker’s character, but they have been put on hold with the writer’s strike.
“I can’t talk about that, but I can say that we have been having meetings,” said Holland in his Spider-Man 4 update. “We’ve put the meetings on pause in solidarity with the writers. There’s been multiple conversations had, but at this point, it’s very, very early stages.”There is no current set release date for Spider-Man 4.
However, producer Amy Pascal also provided an update on the status of Spider-Man at the premiere of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. She told, “Are we going to make another movie? Of course, we are. We’re in the process, but [with] the writers strike, nobody is working during the strike. We’re all being supporters, and whenever they get themselves together, we’ll get started.”
It is not yet known whether Spider-Man 4 will be a part of Phase Five, Six, or beyond in the MCU.
