Chalamet was spotted in Downtown Manhattan in a classic Dylan look: curly hair, sunglasses , black button-up, and brown jacket. Scenes were being shot around El Quijote, the restaurant inside the Hotel Chelsea, where Dylan notably found musical inspiration.The actor was also spotted during a daytime shoot in a local park, where Mangold directed Chalamet through a scene that involved reading a letter on a bench.
Earlier photos captured from the set saw Chalamet donning different Dylan looks, notably a '60s-era paperboy hat, scarf, and jeans, while carrying a worn-down guitar case. He was also seen filming beside a similarly retro car loaded with luggage., is directing the young actor in the film, which takes place in 1965 at a time when Dylan made a controversial shift to rock 'n' roll and the electric guitar.
