Installing the app only took a few minutes. You first have to visit the Mercedes Me app store on the car display and look for the TikTok app. I was surprised it was even there, among a few games and both the Zoom and Microsoft Teams apps that let you make group calls . Once installed, I had to sync my account, which just meant scanning a QR code with my phone to authenticate the car app. Once the TikTok app was up and running in the car, I could swipe through videos as though I was using a laptop at home. The videos looked clear and colorful on the massive 11.9-inch center display.
In the Mercedes-Benz CLE 450 Coupe, I was able to keep tabs on a few TikTok users who post often about new products and cars, and it was a productive time. I dropped a friend off at the mall and waited in the parking lot for a while, flipping through new car videos.
