Another residential high-rise could be in the works in downtown Jacksonville. Related Group returns with new plan for former River City Brewing site.
after both sides agreed that project was not economically feasible, but DIA left room for Related to come back with a different concept.
The tower would have a restaurant with an outdoor dining space on the riverfront, restoring an option for riverfront dining that was lost due to demolition of the River City Brewing restaurant. The DIA staff praised the building's design, saying it"conveys a modern, art deco vibe" that is"elegant and streamlined" to resemble an arc or wave.
American Lions, based in New York, would use a one-acre piece of Riverfront Plaza. It would be the tallest residential building in downtown, eclipsing the Peninsula at Jacksonville that rises 38 floors high with 244 units.
